My Pity Party Got Raided

According to urbandictionary.com a pity party is defined as: A way of experiencing grief, in which you spend your time feeling sorry for yourself and whining endlessly about how crappy your life is.

At some point during the human experience we have all thrown ourselves a pity party.  When our life is not going in the direction that we think it should or we don't get something that we desire, we start to think that the world around us is crumbling and things are simply not fair.

John 3:16

Sometimes in the morning I text Bible verses to my friends, but a few years ago I would have been very hesitant to do something like that.  Not because I was not a believer, but because I didn't feel that I was the best example of someone that should be a follower of Jesus Christ.  I have always been a believer, but just not as bold for Christ.  I am stepping out and being bold for Christ now because He was bold for me and all of us, dying on the cross for our sins.

Get Some Relationship Goals

When I started my new job, part of the agency's new hire process was that each group of new employees had to attend half-a-day sessions for a week to ensure that we got acclimated to the building and familiar with agency procedures.  During one of the sessions the facilitator said,  "if you do not set a goal, you will work for someone that does".  The facilitator was saying this as a means to motivate us to not just work our new jobs in the normal day-to-day routine, but to professionally set a goal for ourselves that would carry us to the next level in our careers.
